The pressure has dropped. Usually a valve, a blockage or a leak rather than the whole system, so it gets traced before anything is replaced.
There's a leak and nobody can find it. Patient leak tracing, with floors, walls and ceilings left intact wherever it can be avoided.
The hot water runs out too quickly. Cylinder capacity, controls and pipe runs looked at together, instead of guessing at a bigger tank.
Nothing has been touched since the seventies. Older, mixed-age Cornish plumbing is the day job here, and it can be upgraded in stages if that suits better.
We just need someone who turns up. One point of contact, a written quote and a date, rather than chasing anyone for an answer.

A household that thought its hot water had failed on a Friday afternoon. A phone diagnosis kept the water hot over the weekend, and a Monday visit confirmed the system was sound and needed no parts at all.
He gave me some tips on how to keep the hot water going using our gas boiler, which was so reassuring, especially going into the weekend.

Do you take on small plumbing jobs?
Yes. From the replacement of a tap washer to a full re-fit, jobs of all sizes are welcome. Small work is quoted and carried out with the same care as an installation.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes, and OFTEC registered for oil. All the up-to-date nationally recognised certificates, training and safety documentation are held and kept current, which matters when plumbing and heating meet at a boiler or a cylinder.
Can you fit an unvented cylinder?
Yes. Unvented hot water is installed and serviced where the incoming main will support it. The survey checks flow and pressure first, because an unvented cylinder on a poor supply solves nothing.
Will you work alongside our builder?
Regularly. First and second fix are planned around the build programme so plumbing does not hold up plastering, tiling or the kitchen fitter.
Do you cover our village?
The workshop is in Playing Place, ten minutes from Truro. Day-to-day plumbing work concentrates within about half an hour of base, which covers Truro, Falmouth, Penryn, the Roseland, St Agnes, Perranporth, Redruth, Newquay and St Austell.
