The last one was left half finished. One firm from strip-out to handover, so there is nobody to hand the blame to and no gap between trades.
We only have one bathroom. The programme is planned around that, with the room out of use for the shortest realistic time and the schedule agreed up front.
The shower has never been any good. Flow and pressure are measured before anything is specified, so the new shower actually performs.
It is an old house and nothing is square. Older Cornish properties are the day job. Uneven floors, thick walls and awkward waste runs are planned for, not discovered halfway through.
We do not want to live on a building site. Dust sheets, protected floors, a daily clear-up and the rest of the house kept liveable throughout.

Survey and measure
A proper visit to check the room, the existing pipework and drainage, and how the bathroom will actually be used.

Strip-out, first fix, tiling and fitting run in order, with the site protected and tidied every day.

Everything run, tested and sealed, the room cleaned, and any paperwork and guarantees handed over.

An en-suite added for a customer whose oil system had already been converted to gas the year before, with the plumbing, electrics and finish handled by the same engineer who knew the house.
Happily, we had him install a new en-suite during the summer where he showed multiple skills.

Do you handle the whole bathroom or just the plumbing?
The whole room. Plumbing, electrics, insulation, tiling and fitting are all covered, so there is one point of contact from strip-out to handover rather than a queue of separate trades.
How long will we be without the bathroom?
It depends on the size of the room, the state of what is behind the walls and whether anything is being moved. The survey establishes a realistic schedule and the written quote states it, so you can plan around it before work starts.
Can we supply our own suite and tiles?
Yes. Plenty of customers choose their own fittings. Say so at the survey so the layout, pipework and pressure can be checked against what you have picked before it is ordered.
Will the work be guaranteed?
Our engineers take pride in their work and guarantee it, and manufacturer guarantees on the fittings are registered where they apply. The paperwork is handed over at the end of the job.
Do you cover our village?
The workshop is in Playing Place, ten minutes from Truro. Day-to-day bathroom and plumbing work concentrates within about half an hour of base, which covers Truro, Falmouth, Penryn, the Roseland, St Agnes, Perranporth, Redruth, Newquay and St Austell.
